 Volunteers are a valuable and vital part of Marian Manor Corporation. Not only do they help to ease the work-load of the staff, but they truly heighten the quality of life for the people we serve. The Volunteer Department provides, for the community, the opportunity to participate in resident activities at Marian Manor on a volunteer basis. This, in turn, forms a vital link to the community for our residents.
The beauty of volunteering is that it is also beneficial to the volunteer. It is not unusual for volunteers to leave their assignment feeling that they have received more than they have given.

Whether you prefer evenings, weekdays or weekends there is always a need for volunteers who would enjoy interacting with our residents. If you have personal interests, talents, skills, musical or artistic abilities or collections we invite you to share your gifts with others.
The Volunteer Department has a variety of volunteer opportunities. Some of these are:
- Activities: Assist residents with special events, programs and van outings
- Pastoral Care: Visit residents, distribute Eucharist, escort to liturgies or devotional services
- Feeding Program: Assist residents during meals (after appropriate training)
- Escort Service: Accompany residents on walks, to activities, to the Beauty/Barber Shop, to and from meals, on community outings and to Therapy
- Friendly Visits: Read to individual residents and assist with personal correspondence
- Hostess Program: Assist with meal set-up (pour coffee, open containers, etc.)
- Pet Visits: Bring your pet with a copy of current shot record
- Instrumental Talent: Play musical instruments to entertain residents
- Child Day Care Center: Assist in baby room, set up lunches
- Office Duties: File, organize or type
- Fund Raising: Work on committee to help raise funds for special projects
